Prenatal + DHA
Prenatal + DHA supplies 120mg of DHA for pregnant and lactating women. DHA is an essential omega-3 fatty acid and must be obtained from dietary sources or a high-quality supplement. Pregnancy and lactation can place high demands on your body and deplete your DHA reserves. DHA is especially important in the last trimester of pregnancy and the first few months of an infant’s life. Taking folic acid before and during pregnancy can help prevent birth defects of your baby's brain and spinal cord. Iodine is essential to the development of your baby's brain and nervous system. Vitamin C is touted as one of the keys to good health because of its immune-boosting reputation. Vitamin K is needed for healthy bone development and protein formation in the liver and plays a key role in blood clotting. When you're pregnant, you need about twice the amount of iron as you did before you were expecting because your body uses iron to make extra blood for your baby.
